It is the fourth letter immediately following the container master code, used to represent the type of container, commonly known as "U", used to represent all conventional containers. In addition, "J" represents a detachable container, and "Z" represents the trailer and chassis of the container.

（３）順序號(hào)，又稱(chēng)“箱號(hào)”或“箱體注冊(cè)碼”（RegistrationCode），由6位阿拉伯字母組成。如有效數(shù)字不是6位時(shí)，則在有效數(shù)字前用“0”補(bǔ)足6位以區(qū)別于同一箱主的集裝箱，如“053842”。

(3) The sequence number, also known as "case number" or "Registration Code", consists of six Arabic alphabet. If the Significant figures is not 6 digits, use "0" to supplement 6 digits before the Significant figures to distinguish it from the container of the same container owner, such as "053842".

（４）核對(duì)數(shù)字。又稱(chēng)“校驗(yàn)碼”（CheckDigit），核對(duì)數(shù)字是用來(lái)驗(yàn)證箱主代號(hào)和順序號(hào)記錄是否準(zhǔn)確的依據(jù)，經(jīng)計(jì)算機(jī)處理所得。它位于順序號(hào)后，以一位阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字加一方框表示。

識(shí)別標(biāo)記。它包括：

集裝箱在運(yùn)輸過(guò)程中能順利的通過(guò)或進(jìn)入它過(guò)境，箱上必須貼有按規(guī)定要求的各種通行標(biāo)志，否則，必須辦理繁瑣證明手續(xù)，延長(zhǎng)了集裝箱的周轉(zhuǎn)時(shí)間。
